Chaitanya Mahila Sahakari Bank Niyamit. was established on the basic principle of Co-Operative slogan “One for all – All for one “and “Women empowerment for Cooperatives in the year 1995. Over a period of 25 years the bank has grown and become a Leader among Mahila Co-Operative banks in the state of Karnataka.
During 1990 Dr. Mallamma Yalawar, founder of Sabala NGO was working on economic empowerment of women in Vijayapura district. They did not get loans because women did not have a regular income source and property in their name. Dr. Mallamma Yalawar initiated Chaitany Mahila Sahakari Bank Niyamit., Vijayapura.
The bank has five branches, fully computerized. Bank’s Administrative Office and Meenaxi chowk branch are functioning from its own Building in Meenaxi Chowk, Vijayapura. The bank has a dedicated an enlightened Board of Directors and employee force of 31.
