Chaitanya Mahila Sahakari Bank Niyamith. was established on the basic principle of Co-Operative slogan “One for all – All for one and “Women empowerment for Cooperatives” in the year 1995. Over a period of 30 years the bank has grown and become a Leader among Mahila Co-Operative banks in the state of Karnataka.

During 1990 Dr. Mallamma Yalawar, founder of Sabala  NGO was working on economic empowerment of women in Vijayapura district. They did not get loans because women did not have a regular income source and property in their name. Dr. Mallamma Yalawar initiated Chaitany Mahila Sahakari Bank Niyamit, vijayapura

The bank has five branches, fully computerized. Bank’s Administrative Office and Meenaxi chowk branch are functioning from its own Building in Meenaxi Chowk, Vijayapur. The bank has a dedicated an enlightened Board of Directors and employee force of 42.

Our aim is not only to provide easy access to customized banking products and services for rural women, but also to nurture an ecosystem within which they can thrive.

We have a grassroots understanding of women’s micro-businesses and specific circumstances. This helps us provide our customers with the best in class services and products designed especially for their needs.

The Bank is functioning on the sound principles of co-operation and successfully completed more than 30 years of banking service. The bank is continuously making profit since from the date of its inception and disbursing dividend to its members and ‘A’ Grade Audit classification. Visionary and transparent directors on the board and dedicated professional staffs are responsible for this achievement.

Our bank celebrated its Silver Jubilee in year 2019.
